Iceland – Day 1 – Arrival & Naps
Landed in Reykjavik at 10:30am … waiting for Val to arrive from LAX at 10:55. Kuku Campers picked us up from the airport and took us to the office to get our home for the next 12 days.
Iceland – Day 0 – The Flight
Drove the 3.5 hours to San Fran, left my car at Barrett & Lianna’s ( thanks guys! ) and took BART to SFO for my red eye flight with WOW! airlines. There’s not much to talk about – it’s a basic, no frills airline with SUPER cheap tickets to Iceland. I’m looking forward to getting some sleep & waking up in the land of smoked fish! -Karina
I had an easy start to our vacation. Spent the morning running a few errands and grabbing some last minute things. My wonderful roomie (Steph) dropped me off at the airport with my suitcase and backpack. Security moved relatively fast at LAX this time around and left me with just enough time for a nice brewskie and sammich. – Val

I’m a research-heavy traveler. I always feel like if I’m well prepared I will relax and enjoy myself when I arrive. This is usually the case, and at this point Val lets me consume every bit of information in advance and regurgitate it on the trip with a minimum of eye rolling!
