Landed in Reykjavik at 10:30am … waiting for Val to arrive from LAX at 10:55. Kuku Campers picked us up from the airport and took us to the office to get our home for the next 12 days.
We opted for a larger camper so we don’t end up killing each other. After a fun time of figuring out how to get into reverse on an Icelandic manual transmission, we left to our first stop at Thingvillir National Park. If you only have a few days, the Golden Circle is a good alternative to the Ring Road. -K
We have made it to the land of ice! (ok, corny jokes done) I found Karina with no problem, thankfully. Our first order of business was buying some Icelandic gin from the airport to avoid overpaying elsewhere. I let Karina figure out all of the kinks in driving 😉 My job today was to be the annoying videographer. – Val
